This work is a factual, historical record of the life and achievements of the people of the Marriaqua valley, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, throughout the twentieth century. In reality it is a labor of love because firstly, without it there may not have been any such record since most of the people having the experience of this era are no longer alive. This was a great concern for the author because of the radical change of present day life style, and no known recordings as yet had been made; and it was felt that the story of all these experiences would have been lost to posterity, hence the preparation of this book.
